Arrest made after barbecue explosion
A MAN has been arrested after two people suffered serious burns in an explosion at a barbecue.
The 20-year-old from High Wycombe was arrested on suspicion of causing grevious bodily harm through reckless behaviour following the incident on Saturday evening.
A 34-year-old man and a six-year-old girl, both from Chesham, were taken to Stoke Mandeville hospital.
Both are still in hospital, with the girl's injuries described as being "less serious" than the man's.
They were injured following a gas explosion at the barbecue in Beechcroft Road, Chesham. An joint investigation by the police and fire service into the cause of the explosion is still underway.
The suspect, who has not been named, has been released on police bail until June 5.
