Reporter's surgery in High Wycombe

BUCKS Free Press reporter Lucinda Adam will hold a public surgery in High Wycombe town centre on Monday.

Our High Wycombe town and district reporter will be at Coffee Republic in White Hart Street from 10am until 1pm.

The surgery is an opportunity for readers to drop in and meet their reporter and share their opinions about our newspapers and website.

It is also a chance for anyone to come and tell us about an idea for a story they would like us to follow up.

We take people's feedback very seriously and several ideas brought up in previous surgeries have made it into the paper the following Friday.

If someone turns up anonymously, disguised as a 'caped crusader' in tights and a mask in his new-fangled washboardmobile & starts complaining about absolutely everything will it be........

If someone turns up saying how good everything is when everyone else can quite plainly see that it isn’t very good then that will be....

Gone are the days reporters searched for a story or investigated things that concern the public, like local councillors expenses, many times the excessive payments have been mentioned on these message boards, many times there have been requests for the press to INVESTIGATE, there has never been any response from the dormant BFP.
In 2008 they sit in a coffee shop sipping hoping some useless information falls into their lap to add to the other nonsense that poses as local news reporting.
THERE WAS NOT EVEN A MENTION OF "FREE" COFFEE.

Good for you! At least the BFP reporters DO get out and about and are willing to listen to Joe Public. Can't see the fat cats of the Torygraph doing THAT can you, even if it is held in a coffee shop?
