ONGAR: MP welcomes nature reserve work

WORK being carried out to create a nature reserve alongside the Cripsey Brook in Ongar has welcomed by MP Eric Pickles.

Mr Pickles said: "Cripsey Brook is a historic water course which runs through Ongar providing water for a large variety of wildlife which has been further encouraged by the creation of the Nature Reserve.

"If the nature reserve is to offer the best environment it needs to be carefully managed and the work being done by Epping Forest Countrycare manager Paul Hewitt and his team will help achieve that objective.

"The planting of additional trees will mean future generations should be able to enjoy the nature reserve while the installation of a ramp means people with walking difficulties will be able to enjoy it now."
