ONGAR: A414 crash victim named
A MAN who died in a three-vehicle collision on the A414 at Norton Heath, near Ongar, on Monday evening has been named.
Darren Tracey-Bower, 34, of Little Wakering Road, in Great Wakering, near Southend, was driving a white Vauxhall Combo van which was in collision with a Range Rover which also struck a tipper-type vehicle which was towing a caravan.
Three other people were injured in the accident which happened at 7.20pm. The road was closed until late Tuesday morning while police undertook investigation work at the scene.
A 46-year-old man, from Writtle, continues to be questioned by police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A 35-year-old man, from Ongar, who was also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has since been released without charge.
The accident happened between the Rookery Road, Norton Heath, and King Street, High Ongar.
