A SUMMER show which was due to take place this weekend has been postponed because of the weather forecast.

The Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Summer Show at the charity’s HQ in Saunderton was due to take place on Sunday.

But with the vast majority of activities scheduled to take place outside and having consulted weather forecasts for the upcoming weekend the charity said the safest decision is to postpone it.

Michele Jennings, chief executive of the charity, said: “I know a great number of our loyal supporters will have been preparing in all sorts of different ways to attend this event, and it’s with a very heavy heart that we have made this decision to cancel.

“I am genuinely sorry that the weather has defeated us, but – like many other organisers of events across the country – on balance, I feel this is the right decision.”

The charity will announce an alternative event to be held later this year, the details of which will be provided in the coming weeks on its website and in its e-newsletter.
