POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with shoplifting incidents at the Co-Op store in Prestwood.

The first incident happened at 12.10pm on Friday, April 13, when a man entered the store in the High Street and concealed two bottles of alcoholic drinks in his jacket, before leaving without paying.

The second incident happened two days later at 11.40am, when the same man entered the same store and put six or seven packets of meat inside in his jacket and left without paying.

The offender walked down the road in the Great Missenden direction where it is believed that the stolen goods were hidden or passed on to someone else.

Ten minutes later the man entered the store again, but left when he realised he was being watched.

The man is white, about 6ft 2ins, slim, and aged between 35 and 40 years.

PC Emily Addison, from Amersham police station, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who can identify the man shown in the CCTV image. I am keen to speak to the man as I believe he has information that could assist with our enquiries.”

Contact PC Addison via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org
