Muslims celebrate birth of Mohammed in Wycombe tomorrow

HUNDREDS of Muslims are set to march through High Wycombe tomorrow to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Mohammed.

The procession begins at the Jubilee Road Mosque at about 11.15am, it will roll through Desborough, into Bridge Street and onto Oxford Road.

The celebrations will then turn into Frogmoor and through the town centre to the High Street for prayers and speeches.

Rolling road closures will be in place throughout the duration of the Holy Day festivities.

I think the idea of the procession, from what I heard of it last year, is to wish all the towns people an enjoyable day on this occassion.
