REFURBISHMENT work is going well on the sports pavilion in Wooburn Green - which is getting a new kitchen, roof, showers and changing rooms as part of a parish council project worth up to £143,000.

MORE than 500 residents have made suggestions on ways to improve Bourne End - which will help forge a plan for the village. The Future of Our Village Forum thanked everyone who took part in the surveys. All the information has now been collated and put into a form that will allow residents to feed back views on their priorities. Residents are now being asked to fill in a questionnaire, which will take about 15 minutes to complete. Paper copies can be collected from either the Bourne End Library or the Community Centre. Fill in and submit your questionnaire by March 5.

WYE Valley School is hosting a ‘Guys and Girls’ workout session to raise cash for pupils’ trip to Zambia. There will be a Boot Camp session for men and a Zumba class for women on February 24 at 7.30pm, with tickets £5.

BOURNE END Library hosts the community market tomorrow, with lots of cakes and crafts from 10am - 1pm.

LOUDWATER’s Young at Heart Club, for senior citizens, holds a monthly tea party at St Peter's Church on Treadaway Hill on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are from 3 - 4pm and transport can be provided if required. Call Chris Hawkes on 01494 462247.

FLACKWELL HEATH British Legion has a Valentines evening tomorrow from 8pm with singer Billy de Laine.

NEARLY 200 villagers have given their views on what the future should hold for Flackwell Heath. Many residents left comments about the state of the buildings on Common Road, as well as the imminent closure of Cherrymead Surgery on Straight Bit. The results will be collated and form part of a plan for the village.
