AN ADVENTURER is coming to Marlow today to talk about his latest challenge – the world of dating.
Dave Cornthwaite, 32, who is known for undertaking various endurance journeys, will appear at Marlow library in Institute Road.
This includes the Expedition1000 project, an ambitious series of twenty five journeys of at least 1,000 miles in length, each one using a different method of non-motorised transport.
His aim is to raise £1million.
But his latest project focuses on the search for love.
He has written a book about his experiences of trying to find a girlfriend by dating 100 women in 100 days.
He said: “All of my projects are about testing limits and overcoming innate fears.
“I’d often felt that I might be missing out on meeting the love of my life because I was afraid of being rejected.
“It’s something we all experience at some point in our lives, and I wanted to write 'Date' not only to give people a little confident nudge in the right direction, but also to share the wonderful, silly, and sometimes painful side of dating.”
The author will talk about his literary work and various adventures on Kas Page's Marlow FM show More than Madness also today – from 4pm.
Radio presenter Kas said: “We're definitely looking forward to meeting him. The show is a bit of banter, some topical news and about people doing something a bit mad – but for a just cause.”
Tune into the show on 97.5fm or visit Dave at his book signing at the library from 2pm.
Tickets are free.
