A FREE Christmas tree recycling service will be run by Amersham Town Council in the new year.

Staff will be on hand to shred trees at the Hervines Park Depot in Hervines Road from 10am-1pm on Saturday January 9.

The site will be open solely for the chipping of Christmas trees as a 'recycle green' initiative.
