RECYCLING bins in the Chiltern district will not be collected for another three weeks – and some of the waste could end up at a landfill site.
The Green Waste bins will not be emptied until Monday January 18 after recycling and refuse collections were “seriously disrupted” by snow and ice on the district's roads.
But Chiltern District Council said in a statement today: “If this is not possible, due to collection time restraints and vehicle capacities, green wheeled bin waste will be deposited at landfill.”
Green waste put out before January 6 will go to landfill sites, and the council has recommended residents keep hold of any green waste until January 18.
Normal refuse and recycling services will resume this week, “weather permitting”, the council said.
Residents will also be allowed to leave excess waste along with their rubbish bins.

Its great over here in mid bucks. My normal bin was emptied today without trouble and the recyling ones will be next week. Aylesbury Vale District Council seem to have their act together better than WDC.
