Man dies in High Wycombe snow

A WOMAN has spoken of the horrifying moment she saw paramedics battling to save a dying man in a High Wycombe street during Monday night's snowfall.

The man, who is believed to be from Hazlemere, collapsed in Green Road near the Royal Grammar School at around 7pm.

Ruth Werbiski from Holmer Green said an ambulance was unable to get through – meaning paramedics had to arrive in an emergency 4x4 vehicle.

Residents gave the man blankets to keep warm, she said, but were unable to keep him alive.

The 60-year-old said: “It was a terrible way to die. I just feel so bad for the man and his widow.”

The man's body was taken away in a second 4x4.

His name has not been made public.

wycombe on the net reported this story on Tuesday, a much better source of news in my opinion, if only they covered more. Sympathies to the mans family.

My sympathies to this mans family, an awful end to someones life.

While we are enjoying ourselves over the festive period, there are families like this poor gentleman, who will not be celebrating, or will be putting on a brave face, for the sake of some little ones perhaps,

may this family get through this time with little pain as possible.
