A MAN had to be cut out of his car and taken to hospital by air ambulance after a crash on the A4010 this afternoon.

Two cars were involved in the collision at around 4pm and in all five people were hurt.

But one of the men was trapped in his vehicle and had to be freed by firefighters before being airlifted to hospital.

There are still long tailbacks along the road at West Wycombe after one lane of the road was blocked by the accident. The road remained open to traffic during the recovery operation.

Two fire crews from High Wycombe fire station attended.

Can someone please explain to me how ALL the staff at Stoke Mandeville can be so wonderful - deal in an emergency and with ANY situation yet Thames Valley Police and PCSOs appear to be such a waste of time and space? Myself, Paul Skippie Graham and Lee Dearman have just spent the past two hours redirecting traffic after an RTA closed our road the A4010. Then to top it all 2 PCSO's appeared on the scene - the blonde female then just stood in a high vis with her hands in her pockets and the male refused to put on his hi vis when we requested him to do so ...... god help us all

Yes, can understand the visual and your comment but I know many coppers in TVP, and have known them for a long time, and I can honestly say, I have never seen their moral so low. They feel shafted by the Govt, unappreciated by the public and smeared by the press. They're damned if they do, they're damned if they don't and if you think things are bad now, just wait till the long servers drop off onto the pension ladder. Keep getting kicked in the nuts, eventually you say I don't want to play any more. Just sayin' :-(

Female PCSO's are rubbish - they are there to strut and they believe they are Juliet Bravo by doing so.

'Police Community Support Officer' - particularly the 'Community Support' bit is a hilarious misnaming for most of them - all the ones I have dealt with.

They're being paid for a job, much better than firemen and nurses... They even got much better NHS perks than nurses but still have a problem about doing the job?

Then they should leave and make room for people interested in doing the job properly.

Firstly, Clyde the Retired Police Horse ?? ... why are there so many complaints .. easy. Tony B'Liar and his cronies, in an effort to create more accountability and openness, introduced a 'if your not happy with the police, why not complain' policy. Coupled with compensation, no win, no fee, greedy ar#e solicitors and every scum bag, drug dealing, burgling, parasitic, wart on the ar#e of society crim jumped on the band wagon. Malicious complaints, totally made up to shift attention from their ill-gotten gains and the police officer is guilty unless he/she proves themselves innocent. reduce the pay, the pension, time off, increase unsociable hours and your left with a job that is so devalued, the cops all left. B'Liar decides to fill the gap with PCSO's and you're not happy about them either. Policing on the cheap but held to the same accountability. Think you'll find more will leave and a new breed replace them. .... and you think that's going to improve public confidence and get the job done? Graduate, form fillers with lack of experience and demeanor to confront what is required in a more violent society.
The NHS staff, fireman; of course they don't get paid enough. Nowhere near and they continue to perform miracles ... except they don't as there's fewer of them as more and more leave but are not replaced. Hence, the decline in hospital care, treatment etc and as for the fire fighters? Currently campaigning for another strike there so pis@ed off... watch this space ?
So continue to slag the current cops off and eventually they'll be gone. ... and you think you're going to happy with the outcome ... or will you also moan about what your left with? I think so but only time will tell !! ... just sayin'

Seriously though now I’ve read your letter I understand - obviously you are a strong understated man who can bond with law enforcement professionals (‘… I know many coppers in TVP, and have known them for a long time’) – you see I thought you were suggesting that the police, seeing how happy, contented and fulfilled all other grown-ups were with their pay, pension, boss, and conditions, and how we all loved to get into work for eight hours a day - were jealous.

In actual fact though the poor darlings have been martyrised by Tony Blair so that the police are making exactly the same complaints they were making in the 1950s.

BTW few of the girls I have seen around seemed like graduates.
