A MAN aged 25 has been charged in connection with an accident that has left five-year-old Liam Moyo in a life-threatening condition.

Liam has serious head injuries and is in a Central London hospital.

The accident happened near Benbow Waye, Cowley, around 4:15pm on Thursday.

The vehicle thought to be involved was a silver Peugeot 307, which police found in Barlee Way just yards from the scene.

Lauris Freimanis, 25, of no fixed address, has been charged with driving without insurance, driving without a licence, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Det Sgt Dave Tanner is still urging people with information about the incident to come forward.
