Yeading hit-and-run leaves 11-year-old girl critical in hospital

AN 11-year-old year is fighting for her life after she was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Yeading.

The girl was hit by a car at around 6.45pm on Thursday, March 18, in Yeading Lane.

Officers from the Met's Traffic Collision Investigation Unit based at Alperton are trying to piece together what happened, and have urged witnesses who saw the crash, near the junction with Maple Road, to come forward.

It is believe the girl was crossing the road, either pushing or riding a bicycle, when she was hit by the car - believed to small and dark-coloured.

The car failed to stop at the scene, and the girl was rushed to hospital where her condition is said to be critical.
