Proposals to redevelop the former Kodak site in Wealdstone were give planning permission from the council this evening.
At a special meeting of the Planning Committee of Harrow Council at the Civic Centre, in Station Road, councillors gave permission to Land Securities to develop the Headstone Drive site.
The development will have 985 new homes, a new three form entry primary school, retail and business space and community facilities built within an expected delivery time of 10 to 12 years.
The plans will now be referred to the General London Assembly and Mayor of London for approval and to the National Planning Casework Unit.
