TWO security guards were ambushed by would-be robbers as they carried cash to a bank in the centre of Pinner.
The guards were in Bridge Street carrying cash boxes into the Abbey bank when they were approached by two men who demanded they hand over the money.
A guard threw a cash box at one of the robbers, and the pair fled from the scene empty-handed.
Police have now appealed for help catching the men, who tried to carry out the robbery at around 10.15pm on Wednesday, November 11.
The two men are both in their 20s, black, and were dressed in black with hoods pulled over their heads.
