A MAN in his 20s died in a car crash outside a Wembley supermarket last night.
Police believe a white Hyundai was pulling into the service road leading to the Asda Superstore car park when the vehicle and a silver BMW crashed in Forty Lane, at around 10.20pm.
One woman, who was at the scene after the smash, said eye witnesses described how the man “came flying out through the windscreen”.
She said: “The people who witnessed the crash were shaking. When the doctors were trying to lift the body they had white sheets around it because they didn't want anyone to see the person.
“There was glass smashed everywhere.”
Police believe they know who the man is but he has not been formally identified, and a post mortem has yet to be carried out.
An inquest will be opened and adjourned.
Another passenger, also in his 20s, from the Hyundai is in a serious but stable condition at a north London hospital.
Both drivers, a third passenger from the Hyundai and two passengers from the BMW were also taken to hospital as a precaution.
The woman said: “All the services were really good. They came really quickly. The police and the ambulance and the fire brigade were there.
“I just hope the other passenger recovers from their injuries.”
Officers from Alperton Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for information and can be contacted on 0208 998 5519.
