Harry Redknapp has managed Tottenham Hotspur since 2008.
The decision to remove Harry Redknapp as manager of Tottenham Hotspur does not detract from his “excellent work” at the club, according to Spurs' chairman.
A statement, released by chairman Daniel Levy at just after 3.30am this morning, said: “This is not a decision the board and I have taken lightly.
“Harry arrived at the club at a time when his experience and approach was exactly what was needed.
“This decision in no way detracts from the excellent work Harry has done during his time with the club and I should like to thank him for his achievements and contribution.
Harry will always be welcome at the lane."
He has managed the club since 2008 and is believed to be in talks with Mr Levy to finalise a severance package.
It is believed the pair were unable to agree over an extension to his current deal.
