An Enfield estate will have 32 sports sessions on its doorstep each week, thanks to funding granted by the London Mayor.
Croyland estate in Edmonton is one of eight London estates to share £140,000 of funding for the scheme, which aims to have 9,000 young people across the city involved in sport by October 2013.
The sessions, run by London charity StreetGames, are intended to increase sports participation among young people from deprived parts of London.
The activities will take place on existing facilities throughout the estates, including youth clubs, community centres, parks, open spaces and sport space already in the area.
