A 19-year-old university student from Enfield spent three days posing as a gold statue as part of her art project.
Samantha Williams, who attended St Anne’s Catholic High School for Girls in London Road, used the technique to encourage people to look at the cardboard pigeons she had made to represent Trafalgar Square.
She covered herself with gold paint and wore a gold dress made from cardboard.
Miss Williams, whose family lives in Queen Anne’s Gardens, Bush Hill Park, is studying fine art at Buckinghamshire New University.
She said: “It’s certainly a very different way to publicise art at the university, but I’ve had plenty of questions from other students and visitors to the university.
“I had worried that I would be sitting here all on my own but that couldn’t have been further from how it turned out and it’s been a really good thing to do.
“My overall idea for the piece was to get everyone involved in my work and to hopefully generate some interest for it.”
Miss Williams’ display took place between Monday, January 30, and Wednesday, February 1.
