The future of prostate cancer care will be discussed today at a meeting by the Enfield, Southgate MP, David Burrowes.
The meeting at Enfield South Conservative Association is for people affected by the disease, health professionals, local health commissioners and councillors.
Mr Burrowes said: “Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. Thirty seven thousand men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year, and one man dies of the disease every hour.
“In light of these figures I believe it’s essential that we know exactly what people affected by the disease require and expect from our health service.
“I am therefore delighted to be working with the Prostate Cancer Charity on this extremely important initiative to indentify standards of quality care.”
