THE UNDERGROUND was suspended this morning after a woman was found under a train at Wood Green.
Tube services between Arnos Grove and Kings Cross were suspended between 9.30 and 10.37am.
The woman, believed to be in her mid-fifties, died after being struck by a westbound Piccadilly line train, in an incident which is believed to be non suspicious.
She has not yet been identified.
Services are now running but with severe delays.
And there were also delays this morning on First Capital Connect train services through Enfield Chase due to a points faiure.
The service, which runs between Moorgate and Hertford North, is now running but with occasional cancellations and up to 40 minute gaps in service as trains are "repositioned" following the earlier failure.
Customers delayed by more than 30 minutes may be able to claim compensation under the delay repay scheme. The form can be downloaded from www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk or from booking offices.
