A PARK is be festooned with even more greenery thanks to funds raised by a local scout group.
Bush Hill Park, off Southbury Road, has been given 20 new rowan, wild cherry and silver birch trees by the 4th Enfield cubs.
The trees will be planted by the cubs with help from the Friends of Bush Hill Park on Saturday 20, when the children will also try a spot of birdwatching, using the ten new bird boxes recently been hidden within existing trees to encourage wild birds to the area.
Caroline Wilmer from Friends of Bush Hill Park said: “This event is one of the many initiatives that we are planning for our park.
“These include new playground equipment, a wildlife garden, and the renovation of our shelter with artwork from local children.
“It’s going to be a busy year.”
