WITNESSES are sought after yesterday's fatal collision in Enfield, which involved three generations from the same family.
Emergency services were called at 5.23pm yesterday, after reports that a Ford Mondeo car had crashed into two pedestrians and a child in a pushchair, at the junction of Park Avenue and Faversham Avenue.
A 56-year-old woman from Enfield died at the scene and her next of kin have been informed. A post mortem will be held tomorrow at Haringey Mortuary.
An inquest is expected to open and adjourn on Tuesday.
Her 28-year-old daughter, and a two-year-old boy, who is the daughter's nephew, and also from Enfield, were taken to the Royal London Hospital where they currently remain, but their condition is not thought to be serious.
The 70-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and was taken to a north London police station. He is now bailed to return in mid-April, pending further inquiries.
Officers from the Collision Investigation Unit at Chadwell Heath are investigating. Any witnesses are asked to call the CIU on 020 8597 4874.
