Boy, 14, victim of attempted robbery in Borehamwood

A young boy was the victim of an attempted robbery in Borehamwood earlier this month.

The 14-year-old had been using his mobile phone while sitting on a fence on a gravel path just off Gateshead Road, when he was approached by two men.

The men, who had come in the direction of Leeming Road, asked for his phone but when the victim refused to hand it over, one of the suspects grabbed his wrists.

The teenager then managed to get away.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place between 6.10pm and 6.15pm on Tuesday July 10.

They believe an elderly man was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened, but did not realise what was taking place. Detectives are appealing for him specifically come forward.

Ummm..so why is there no description of the assailants? Fundamental information required for apprehending the scumbags, is it not?
