Members of staff from a jewellery company will be taking on a mountain trek to raise money for charity today.
The fourteen walkers from Signet Trading, of Imperial Place, Borehamwood, will be climbing up Snowdon to raise money for Cherry Lodge Cancer Care which provides care for people living with cancer.
Davis Smith, from signet who organised the trip said: “The main reason I chose Snowdon was because it was a way of giving ourselves a good target and help us raise this money.”
“It’s been great working with Cherry Lodge and they have really helped us organise this and that’s what it’s all about, a team effort to raise money for a great charity.”
Teresa Bowman head of fundraising for the charity: “It’s been fantastic working with Signet and the support and money they have raised is great.”
The company’s target was to raise a minimum of £2,000 for the trip, but already they have managed to raise £3,000, with more money still to come.
