Police continue investigation into common assault

Police are continuing to investigate an alleged common assault on an 11-year-old boy near a Radlett school.

The schoolboy was approached in an alleyway near Battlers Green Drive by a man and a woman, who allegedly grabbed his arm.

The boy ran off and was not harmed in the incident, which happened around 8.50am.

Police are looking to speak to a white woman in her early 40s, with a thin build and short hair, wearing a cream skirt.

They would also like to speak to a man, described as white, in his 40s, with a medium build and grey hair and a ponytail.

An initial alert sent out by the boy’s school to parents suggested the incident was an attempted abduction.

But police say they are treating the incident as a common assault and are appealing for witness to come forward.
