The lease for Aldenham Country Park was signed by its new operators this week.
Tim Waygood and Robert Marsden, from Agrarian Renaissance, signed the lease on Tuesday and will run the popular visitors’ attraction after Hertfordshire County Council previously announced it would close the site.
Councillor Sandra Parnell, who is a member of the Aldenham Country Park Trust, said: “This is fabulous news and it means we can look to the future now and the exciting plans they have for the park.”
After the county council announced the plans to close the park group Friends of Aldenham Country Park, now the Aldenham Country Park Trust, formed a campaign to save the site.
Councillor Parnell added: “This is exactly what the trust wanted for the park and we’re all very happy that the lease has been signed.
"The new owners are going to make the park a place the whole community can use and enjoy and that’s just what the trust hoped for.”
