People who love film and TV are being invited to a Valentine’s Day event hosted by a film society next week.
The Elstree Screen Heritage will be running a morning session at the University of Hertfordshire’s Love Film and TV event.
The morning session, from 10am to 1pm, will be hosted by film historian and chairman of the Elstree Screen Heritage Paul Welsh, and will feature a guest panel of veterans of TV production.
All those on the panel worked in studios in Elstree and Borehamwood on TV programmes like The Avengers, The Saint and Gideon’s Way.
There will also be recorded interviews from the ongoing Elstree Project, which is a collaboration between the Screen Heritage and university staff and students.
The afternoon session, from 2pm to 5pm, will be with Jan Harlan, Executive Producer of many Stanley Kubrick films, and will look at the theme of “It is impossible to love and be wise” in film.
The free all-day event will take place on Tuesday February 14 at the Weston Auditorium at the de Havilland Campus of the University of Hertfordshire, from 10am to 5pm and people can book a place by calling 01707 281 127.
