A charity is urging people to give blood this weekend as part of its campaign.
The Joely Bear Appeal, based in Elstree, will be doing a blood drive in Shenley this Sunday, and is calling for people who have never given blood before to take part.
The charity are calling people bring a friend with them and those who take part have a chance to win a sighed copy of an Italian cook book by Celebrity Chef Gino D’Acampo.
Anyone from the age of 16-65 weighing more than 50kg and donate blood and potential save a life.
The blood donor session will be taking place on Sunday February 12 at Clore Shalom School, Hugo Gryn Way, Shenley from 9.30 to 12pm and 2pm to 4.30pm.
