A national institution has launched a new video to help parents get to grips with their children’s internet usage.
The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre, has a produced a new video showing parents how they can protect their children online as part of Safer Internet Day and can be viewed online today.
The video goes back in time to the 1950s and shows parents that parenting skills are still the same, and the best way to protect their children is to talk to them about their internet usage.
The short film, entitled The Parents’ and Carers’ Guide to The Internet, features tips on how to protect children online.
The launch of the film is also in line with work Hertfordshire County Council will been doing today to encourage young people and parents to use the internet safely.
Schools in the county will be promoting the day with lessons about how to work safely online.
To watch the video, parents and cares can go to www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents.
