FURTHER snow and freezing weather is expected later in the week, bringing with it further disruption.
The Met Office is predicting snow showers in the Borehamwood area on Wednesday, with temperatures falling to below freezing.
The freezing conditions are expected to last into the weekend and further snow is expected on Friday.
Hertfordshire County Council will make a public statement on the state of its salt supplies, heavily depleted during the inclement conditions of last month.
The council, however, is no longer in control of ordering its own supplies, with central government still regulating the flow of grit to local authorities.
