TWO youngsters will have their drawings made into special gift cards for a children's hospice.
Noah's Ark Children's Hospice launched a competition to find the best designs for its gift card collection.
The hospice, which offers practical support to children with life-limiting illnesses, asked school children to imagine what the word 'play' meant to them.
The children then were asked to draw their ideas in felt-tip, crayon or paint.
The winning designs, which will now be turned into cards for the hospice, were judged by Councillor Hugh Rayner, deputy Mayor of Barnet, and his wife Susan, Tracey Collins, Human Resources manager for Olympic Holidays, and Rachel Sharp, group editor for the Times-Series.
Mr Rayner said: "I am very happy to be involved in this project. It was extremely difficult choosing the winners in each category, such energy came through from the children in the drawings, they were all wonderful."
Rachel Sharp, group editor of the Times-Series said: "I was honoured to be asked to help judge the competition.
"They were all such great designs and I think it's wonderful for local children to be involved in a local charity like Noah's Ark."
Olympic Holidays has already donated more than £34,000 to Noah's Ark, and the money will go towards funding a respite nursery nurse for one year in Barnet.
Olympic Holidays HR manager Tracey Collins said: "I was very happy to be asked to be a judge. The drawings were amazing, it was just a shame they couldn't all win.
"The children obviously all put such a lot of effort into the drawings."
The cards will be on sale later this year.
The winning entries were:
