Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to start 2012 with victory over West Brom

Tottenham will be looking to start 2012 with a win as they welcome West Bromwich Albion to White Hart Lane this evening.

Harry Redknapp’s side currently sit third in the Premier League, six points off top spot with a game in hand.

A 1-1 draw against Swansea City last time out meant Spurs missed an opportunity to close the gap at the top while the Baggies succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against Everton.

Scott Parker faces a late fitness test ahead of tonight’s game after coming off with a knee injury against the Swans.

Captain Ledley King could return to the side after missing the last two matches while Aaron Lennon could make a comeback from a hamstring injury.

Sebastien Bassong and Roman Pavlyuchenko are both available but Tom Huddlestone remains out due to an ankle knock.

West Brom could be without four first team regulars as Jonas Olsson and midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu are ruled out while Chris Brunt and Shane Long are both doubtful.
