Burning car in Tottenham was arson attack

HARINGEY police believe a burning car in Tottenham was set on fire by arsonists.

Startled residents living in Grove Road were alarmed to find a black BMW going up in flames outside their homes at around 1.12am this morning.

Firefighters were able to extingush the blaze after a thirty minute battle, but the vehicle was completely damaged.

Another car parked close by suffered minor damage.

Officers are now urging members of the public with information about the attack to come forward in a bid to catch those responsible.
