Man rescued from Crouch End kitchen fire

A MAN was rescued after a fire broke out in a Crouch End house.

Food left cooking unattended is thought to have caused the small fire in Oakley Gardens, on Wednesday, January 19.

The man was led to safety from the top floor of the house, at around 10.45pm, and taken to hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, which cause some smoke damage to the ground floor, and have issue kitchen safety advice on their website - http://www.london-fire.gov.uk/SafetyInTheKitchen.asp.
