LEYTON: Child hit by car

A five-year-old boy had his leg broken when he was hit by a car.

It happened in Vicarage Road, Leyton, at 9.05pm on Monday (April 16).

He was taken to hospital and is said to be recovering well this morning.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene.

A Met spokesman said: "There have been no arrests and enquiries continue".
