LONDON / ESSEX: Weather warning
THE Met Office has issued a weather warning for London and Essex, with a prediction it may snow again today (Sunday February 12).
The organisation is advising residents to be prepared for possible freezing rain and between 1cm to 2cm of snow.
In a statement, a spokesman said: "The public is advised to take extra care when travelling through Sunday morning, but with less cold weather steadily following from the north, conditions should ease this afternoon."
Essex Police is advising motorists only to make journeys when "necessary". It warns that driving conditions are hazardous across the county this morning.
