POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man's body was found in a Tottenham bedsit last Thursday evening.

It is believed Kelvin Onubogu, 37, was attacked at a flat in Higham Road and was found dead there when police officers arrived at about 11pm.

Police said they were treating Mr Onubogu's death as murder but keeping an open mind about the motive.

A post mortem carried out on Saturday proved inconclusive and police are awaiting the results of further tests.

Police believe four black men visited the address, a terraced house split into four bedsits, at about 9pm and left at about 10.20pm.

The W4 bus runs frequently along Higham Road and there is a bus stop near the house.

Police are appealing for anyone who was travelling on a W4 bus between 9pm and 10.20pm that night, who saw four black men alight or get on the bus in Higham Road or saw them enter or leave the address, to call them.

The men are all described as black, aged between 20 to 30 years old.

One is believed to be about 5ft 4in tall, of medium build and was wearing a cream and gold-coloured baseball cap and a black jacket on the night of the attack.

The second suspect is about 6ft tall, of slim build, and was wearing a black jacket with shiny silver bits on the front.

The third man is about 5ft 4in tall, of medium build, and was wearing a black jacket while the fourth man was black with a light complexion, about 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short hair and wearing a white top.

Anyone who knew the victim or has any information about the incident is asked to call 020 8358 0300 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

An inquest will be opened and adjourned in due course.
