A POWER cut affected about 1,500 South Bucks homes last night – with some going without electricity for nearly three hours.

The blackout affected properties in Stoke Poges and Farnham Common.

Hannah Gleave, spokesman for Southern Electric Power Distribution, said: “"We would like to apologise to customers affected by the power cut in Farnham Common on Sunday evening.”

“Our engineers identified a fault on our High Voltage (HV) network which initially affected 1,500 customers at around 6pm.

“Due to the flexibility of our network, the majority of customers were restored by 7pm via another section of our network. The remaining supplies were restored by 8.45pm.”

You report about the power cut but what about the cut which took place on Friday. It was out from 6-45am till 7-15pm in our road and around Wycombe. When we phoned the electric company at 7am they said that we were the first to report it from our road but there was about 49 people affected.
