Rugby stars looking to bring World Cup back to Bucks

10:20am Sunday 5th September 2010

ENGLAND'S female rugby side take on the might of the All Blacks today in the 2010 World Cup Final – with two players hoping to bring a winner's medal back to south Buckinghamshire.

High Wycombe-born prop and Amersham gym instructor Rochelle Clark, 29, and 24-year-old winger Katherine Merchant coach the Buckinghamshire New University's second team.

They helped the side lift the BUCS Plate Conference trophy at Adams Park in May.

But today they will be walking out at Twickenham in front of thousands of spectators, with millions more watching from home, as they line up against New Zealand to take home the biggest prize in women's rugby.

Former Bucks New University student and scrum half Amy Turner, 26, is also expected to play in today's showpiece final, which gets under way at 5.15pm.
