A REVAMPED play area has been officially unveiled following the completion of a £40,000 grant funded upgrade.
School children from Holy Trinity and Sandy Gate Schools and Marlow Town Councillors gathered at Seymour Recreation Ground, Marlow, for the opening.
It benefited from a grant from the Department of Children, Schools and Families.
Grants were allocated to a number of schemes in Buckinghamshire through the county council and Wycombe District Council.
Town clerk Howard Bellairs said in the few weeks children have been using the area so far it had been “very successful” but it has also been blighted with dog fouling.
The council has urged anyone who sees owners letting their pets defecate at the recreation ground to report it.
The new area boasts a large climbing tower, a popular nest swing with an all ability roundabout with wheelchair access.
Work on designing the area and choosing equipment was carried out by Marlow Town Council.
