TELEVISION presenter Fearne Cotton was out of her saddle almost as soon as she had got in it after beginning her bicycle training – with Marlow Professor Greg Whyte.
The Radio 1 DJ, 28, was caught on camera falling off her bike alongside Little Britain star David Walliams after setting off from Marlow.
She is part of a celebrity team preparing to cycle the 1,000 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End next month.
The former Top of the Pops presenter was wearing a cycle helmet and escaped with only a bruised ego.
Sports science expert Mr Whyte, of Cedar Drive, Marlow Bottom, put Miss Cotton and comedian Mr Walliams through their paces with the ride last week.
Miss Cotton wrote on her blog: “At the weekend myself and David Walliams, team captain of said challenge, headed out to Marlow where our wonderful trainer Greg lives.
“He took us on a 90 minute cycle of doom around the local hills. I unintentionally dismounted (fell off) twice, and David got four punctures in 90 minutes which I believe is a world record.
“We look the part in our red shiny jackets and fancy cycling shoes but are generally terrible at cycling. I’m more than nervous about this challenge looming.”
Last year Mr Whyte, of the Olympic Medical Institute, trained up Miss Cotton, Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole and Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles, among other famous names to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise cash for red nose day.
