LEYTONSTONE: Man charged with Whipps murder
A MAN has been charged with the murder of a 34-year-old in the grounds of Whipps Cross University Hospital.
Wei Ma, 36, of no fixed abode, is accused of stabbing the Chinese national from Walthamstow on April 21.
He is due to appear before magistrates at Waltham Forest Magistrates Court, Forest Road, Walthamstow, tomorrow.
Mr Ma was picked up by police on a Leytonstone street and taken to Chingford Police Station on Friday.
Police have still not formerly identified the victim, who died of several stab wounds to the neck.
They are trying to trace his family in China.
A passing member of hospital staff tried to save the man's life but he died from his injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
