A MAN has been stabbed to death in the grounds of Whipps Cross University Hospital.

The victim, a chinese national in his 20s from Walthamstow, was found by police near a loading bay in the grounds of the Leytonstone hospital at around 8.30pm on Monday.

He was pronounced dead half an hour later and is yet to be formally identified.

The main suspect, a Chinese national in his thirties, is still being hunted by police.

Neither the suspect of the victim worked, or were being treated, at the hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to call acting Det Cons Insp Bob Mahone on 83453775, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A Whipps Cross spokeswoman said: "As a result of the incident, access to parking at the hospital has been restricted.

"We would urge patients to allow extra time and to use public transport as parking is limited."

Dean, that's an unfair comment. Police have identified a suspect and are searching for him, and they've given 2 phone numbers to call - one of them specifically for people who want to speak anonymously, to encourage anyone who is frightened of being identified. What more can they do?
