I did'nt know Jimming and i dont know his family but my thoughts are with you all.
I think the boys that done this to jimmy are the most evilest people on this planet. All because Jimmy was the bigger person and stepped away from a fight. Jimmy had his whole life ahead of him so many things to do and achive. See the people that go around killing others obviously have no future.
My thoughts are with Jimmys family
    RIP JIMM

I didn't know Jimmy either but am so touched by the bravery of his mother and family. Darling boy he never realised that he had won the lottery already to have been surrounded by such love. May he rest in peace in a better place and may his murderer give themselves up to the police to save his family further heartache.

Sincere condolences to the poor family of this lad. You've shown yourselves to be truly courageous, thoroughly decent people and you didn't deserve this awful tragedy.

It'd be nice to think that poor Jimmy's death (like all the others before him) would force the Government and other authorities to act decisively but Gordon Brown and his ilk are too busy looking after themselves to care about the lives of our young people.

As for the parents of the all the young thugs involved in this sort of thing, when are they going to accept their share of the responsibility for the actions of their offspring?

This is so tragic. I have left home this morning feeling empty and thinking of how on earth people can do this.
I hope sincerely that justice will be done for Jimmy and all other kids that have lost their life too soon due to all this useless violence.
I do wish his family my deepest sympathy.

My heart goes out to you and you are in my prayers. I pray that Jesus the prince of peace will comfort you the way that only He can as this tragic theft of life is almost unimaginable and must be so painful for you. I used to work at St Thomas More RC school a year ago however I'm not sure if I met Jimmy but his face does seem familiar to me. It breaks my heart that such wickedness and evil exists amongst people in this world. Again I pray that God's peace be with you.

Jimmy's passing has affected so many people who didn't know him. The sheer horror of Saturdays events has spurred people to reach out to Jimmy's family and friends. Love and prayers are sent and offered. I am touched, like others, by the grace and courage of all The Mizen's. Danny Mizen speaking on radio 2 yesterday, invited people to mass on Saturday at the family church, even if you don't know the family. It would be nice to think that the power of collective prayer could make a difference to the family and the world, even strength in numbers of people showing up at church would not only let The Mizen family know they are not alone, we are with them, But, also send a peaceful message that we have had enough of the murders on our streets. Our Love and Prayers are with you and your family Jimmy.xxxxxxxxxxx

I remember Jimmy well, I went to school with him, and his Nephew James was in my year. He was a really nice Kid, unfortunately there arent many out there like that these days.

I was so upset to hear that this had happened. RIP Jimmy. Stay strong Mizen's and keep your faith close to you.

I also didn't know Jimmy or his family but it's clear to me what a lovely family they are and what a wonderful son/brother/friend Jimmy was. It's heartbreaking that someone so evil and heartless could do such a thing to such a lovely lad. I can't even begin to imagine what you must all be going through - my heart goes out to you all.

Rest in Peace with the angels Jimmy x

    RIP Jimmy
Such a terrible tragedy and waste of a young mans life! I did not know Jimmy nor do I know his family but to the Mizen family, you are an example to us all!
You have acted with such dignity, grace and courage in what must be your darkest times.
If there where more families like yours I am sure this world would be a better place.
To all of Jimmy's family, friends and all at St Thomas Moore School my heart goes out to you all.

I cry every time I read about this terrific young boy and his amazing family. I too have a 16 year old son, another gentle giant, and I cannot imagine the pain his family must be going through. I hope they know how many people are thinking of them. What a fantastic family, what a terrible tragedy. Rest in peace, and know you were loved Jimmy.

    Jimmy..
I know i didnt know you but you seemed a lovely guy and this shouldnt have happend to you. The guy that killed you is scum and i hope they lock him up and throw away the key. Your in a safe place now and i know that your going to be looking down on your family and friends and looking after them as best as you can. It breaks my heart that such a lovely guy like you can get killed over something so stupid and small but i guess that no one will ever know the truth :(..

Darling Jimmy, You should have officially been leaving school on the 27 june looking forward to the next stage of your life, Instead, Your funeral will be taking place on the 20th. I think of you and your family often, every time my 16yr old goes out. I never knew you or your family, Yet, Your have a place in my heart sweet boy. You will never be forgotten. I've said prayers and shed tears for you and for all of us living in these uncertain times. I'm glad you were in this world, If only for 16 short years, You were loved and always will be. I hope your funeral is a celebration of the love and joy you gave to all that knew you. May your family draw strength from each other and our faith. God Bless you Jimmy, You live on in our hearts.xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Have just watched Jimmy's parents on BBC Sunday Life. What an amazing family they must be, and what memories they must have about Jimmy.Hopefully, as they said, it will be time for the pendulum of violence to swing back the other way and bring safety back to the streets of England.

my condolences to all family and friends who have lost loved ones to crimes and acts of ruthlessness like young jimmy mitzen,i fear for my 10 year old son to grow up in the streets of london and in a community that does not have a reputation of being a nice inner city place but of a place most would not step outside after a certain time because of youths taking over and getting away with sickening things,im a mum of 2 and am o28 but yet i feel shut in after dark and is afraid to mtake a stand and tell theese cowards and thugs wot they should be doing to make london a better and enjoyable place to live and bring our children up as respectable human beings and not blood thirsty animals.lc from downham.
