Take That! Dancer to live West End dream

A YOUNG Enfield actor's dreams will come true when he makes his West End debut tonight.
Scott Maurice, 21, of Ponders End, is a featured dancer in Never Forget, a romantic comedy about boy band Take That.
It is opening tonight at the West End's Savoy Theatre, and Scott is also understudy for the part of Take That's Howie.
Scott said: "I'm extremely excited and really pleased, especially as I'm quite young and haven't been to drama school. Its like a dream come true."
Scott began dancing at 16 after he was taken to Pineapple Studios, in Covent Garden, by the Metropolitan Police as part of a scheme to keep youths off the streets. He ended up winning a scholarship.
Set in Manchester, Never Forget, which completed a sell out tour last month, is a romantic comedy about a Take That tribute band by BAFTA award-winning writer Danny Brocklehurst and will feature classic hits from the band.
Scott now teaches dance at the Pineapple Studios and has appeared on Top of the Pops, Blue Peter and BBC's Proms in the Park.
He said: "It has been really, really hard work.
"I did the tour last year and you come away with a lot of injuries. It's worth it though. This is definitely the best show I have ever done."
Former Take That manager Nigel Martin Smith said: "I thought the show was fabulous. It was so theatrical, just like the boys always were.
"It captured what Take That was all about - it was about having fun."
