A FOOTBALL tournament raised money for the victims of famine.

Leyton and Wanstead MP John Cryer took part in the event on Tuesday (February 21).

His team failed to score but the event at the Score Centre in Oliver Road, Leyton, has so far raised £550.

A team from the Star of India restaurant in High Road, Leytonstone, beat staff from Cathall Leisure Centre in Leytonstone in the final.

I have emailed Mr Cryer 5 times in the past 2 months and have not had a reply concerning an important matter. I realise now he is probably playing football.

Why can he not attend to his Constituents first?

Well done to all sixteen teams who took part. And to John Cryer MP for organising it and Leyton Orient Community Sports for their work on the day. And of course, congratulations to the winning team - the stars from the Star of India.
