WALTHAM FOREST: Train services suspended (From This Is Local London)

TRAINS have been suspended on the Chingford to Liverpool Street rail line due to over-running engineering works.

A replacement bus service is in operation but transport bosses warn journey times will be increased by up to 25 minutes as a result.

The suspension is "until further notice" according to a statement from National Rail Enquiries published at 1.50pm today (Sunday February 12).

Not an auspicious start to the new Abellio franchise. When will this line be subsumed into TfL's Overground system?

I don't suppose it has anything to do with the installation today of a gigantic crane in the Walthamstow Central car Park (for public H&S reasons) ??
